Front Arena Developer & Platform Specialist (A)

For our client, a leading international financial institution based in Zurich, we are seeking an experienced Front Arena Developer & Platform Specialist to drive the development, enhancement, and support of its trading systems and Front Arena platform.

Tasks

• Contribute to the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Front Arena platform, including interfaces and supporting tools
• Gather and analyse requirements, design solutions, and manage implementation and testing within an agile SAFe environment
• Provide high-quality support to Front Arena users across Trading, Middle Office, and Risk functions
• Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues, explore new solutions, and continuously improve platform stability and performance
• Perform regular system monitoring and health checks to ensure the reliable operation of the Front Arena landscape
• Participate in rotating on-site support, including approximately one full week on-site per month
• Collaborate closely with the software vendor and internal infrastructure teams, including Database, Middleware, Virtualisation, and other technology functions
• Take end-to-end technical ownership of the Front Arena landscape, ensuring a strong understanding of all components, interfaces, and dependencies

Requirements

• Academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of professional experience as a Front Arena Developer, with strong expertise in Python, AEL, and ACM; experience with ADFL is considered an advantage
• Extensive expertise and deep experience in the maintenance and configuration of Front Arena environments is essential
• Proven proficiency in performance and stability tuning across Front Arena components, including ADS, APS, AMBA, XMBA, TAB, APH, TAPS, and MS-SQL is essential
• Solid experience maintaining and configuring Front Arena and its associated interfaces
• Good understanding of structured products, including issuance, trading, and lifecycle management
• Experience working directly with traders in a front-office or trading-floor environment
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
